What is CoWorking?

CoWorking is the gathering of a group of people, who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with talented people in the same space. A 2007 survey showed that many employees worry about feeling isolated and losing human interaction if they were to telecommute.

CoWorking has been found to increase business up to 30%.

The principle is simple: to offer a shared workspace for independent professionals and small business entrepreneurs where there are separate workspaces with shared facilities for internet access, faxing and copying and private conferences all combined into a single facility.

Beyond just creating a better place to work CoWorking promotes:
Collaboration
Information sharing and exchange
Networking
Referrals
Community
Accessibility
A low monthly price
No long-term lease obligations

As a CoWorking office, CoLAB at Second Street Studios will be part of an expanding global CoWorking community, connected to similar shared work environments throughout the country.

Unlike a typical office environment, those CoWorking are usually:
Independent Contractors
Small Business Owners
Entrepreneurs
People who travel frequently
“Work at Home” Professionals
